Don & Arlene Davis-2 life-long residents of Hazelton ND have volunteered countless hours to the community of Hazelton. This husband and wife team who are now in their 80’s continue to “give” to the community. They work together and always volunteer their help when needed in the community. Arlene volunteers her time at the Hazelton Coffee Shop and cooks a meal weekly, along with serving a monthly meal for the local fireman and other special events. She volunteers at HMB School collecting tickets for sporting events and other activities. Don & Arlene unload the grocery truck at 5:30 am on Fridays for the community owned grocery store. Arlene helps distribute food commodities monthly for the county Ministerial Association. Arlene is the bookkeeper for multiple community organizations which include, American Legion Auxiliary, Hazelton Development Corporation, Presbyterian Church of Hazelton, Main Street Coffee Shop, Senior Citizen club, etc.
Our community is very fortunate to have this selfless couple live in Hazelton and give so much to Hazelton. They are truly the definition of a Hometown Hero and are certainly deserving of such a recognition.
